I have not had time to set up the product, yet. I thought MS had started to sell the product all setup. The product is beautiful. The stylus should come with it for this money.

What operating system does Surface 3 run?
Surface 3 runs full Windows 10. This means you can run your favorite programs, apps, and browsers including the full Microsoft Office, iTunes, Netflix, Chrome, and Spotify and much more. Everything you can run on your laptop, you can run on Surface 3.
What is Windows 10?
Windows 10 is the new version of Windows that works great with all kinds of input – touch, pen, plus mouse and keyboard. It knows when you're using touch, pen, mouse, or keyboard and adapts to you.
I've heard Windows 10 is for touchscreens. Can I still use a mouse and keyboard?
Yes. You can use it the way you want: touchscreen, mouse and keyboard, or both. You'll also still be able to work with the familiar desktop just as you did in earlier versions of Windows.
Can I use my current software and printers?
Windows 10 is compatible with almost all of the peripherals (printers, cameras, keyboards, mice, etc.) that you're using today with your Windows PC or tablet. You can also use most of the desktop programs you currently use, including Office programs. Find more compatibility information on the Windows Compatibility website.
Did the desktop disappear?
No. You'll still be able to work with the familiar desktop just as you did in earlier versions of Windows. If you're in the Start screen, simply press the Windows logo key + D on your keyboard. If you spend most of your time on the desktop, you can even set Windows to go there instead of the Start screen when you first turn on your Surface.
Do you have the apps I want?
Today we have over 100,000 apps in the Windows Store, including top apps for Windows like Hulu, Netflix, and Twitter—and we're adding more every day. Don’t find what you're looking for in the Windows Store? You can also download almost any Windows software on the Internet and install it, just like you would on your laptop.
Do I have to pay extra to get Office on my Surface 3?

Can I run multiple programs at the same time?
Your Surface 3 allows you to run up to two apps on a screen at a time. You can schedule meetings on your calendar while you respond to email, or record a lecture in class with OneNote while you take notes simultaneously.
Can I share my device with other family members?
Windows 10 allows you to create multiple user accounts so that you can share your device easily with customized settings for each user. Your Surface 3 and your personal info will be more secure; you'll be able to see your—not everyone's—favorite things when you sign in, and you can protect important documents and files from being erased or changed by someone else.
How can I add more storage space to my Surface 3?
Surface 3 comes in two different storage options2: 64GB and 128GB. If you need additional space you can use the microSD™ card reader and add up to 128GB with a microSD card or use the USB port to connect thumb drives and external hard drives. Office 365 Personal includes 1TB online storage in OneDrive, so you'll never run out of space.
Does Surface 3 include a Type Cover?
You can type on screen with the touch-based Windows keyboard, but you'll be able to type faster than the on-screen keyboard with Type Cover. Type Cover is sold separately so you can choose from a number of vibrant colors to fit your personal style.
Is my Surface 3 pen compatible?
Yes, Surface 3 is compatible with Surface Pen. With Palm Block technology and 1024 levels of pressure-sensitivity, Surface Pen gives you a surprisingly natural way to mark-up documents and take notes in your own handwriting. Surface Pen is sold separately.

What's so great about Surface Pen?
We've worked really hard to create a Pen that feels natural and premium in your hands versus feeling like a cheap stylus. Cased in anodized aluminum, it provides natural texture and grip but is still lightweight and comfortable. You also have control of the thickness or darkness of the lines you're creating based on how hard you press the Pen against the screen and with Palm Block technology, you can rest your hand on the screen just like you would on paper.
What are some apps that work with Pen on Surface 3?
A click of the Surface Pen will bring up a blank OneNote page instantly – whether the device is in sleep mode or locked. Your notes are saved as you write to the hard drive or to OneDrive. Surface Pen also works with Office so you can write directly in your Word documents, PowerPoint, or even handwrite an email in Outlook. Another popular app that comes with Surface 3 is Drawboard PDF. Drawboard PDF is an excellent PDF annotation app so you can write directly in documents without printing, photocopying, or scanning. It's an app that's normally $10 in Windows Store but comes free (pre-installed) on every Surface 3.
What is Surface 3 made of?
The casing of Surface 3 is made out of a magnesium alloy which is lighter and more durable than aluminum.
Is the Power Supply on Surface 3 different than the one on Surface Pro 3?
Yes, Surface 3 comes with a lighter and thinner 13W power supply that will not work on any other Surface device. You can also charge Surface 3 using any micro USB charger (like those used for charging smartphones) or portable micro USB battery packs, although charging speeds may vary.
What comes in-box when purchasing a device?
Customers who purchase Surface 3 will also get a 13W power supply, Quick Start Guide and safety and warranty documents.
What's the battery life of my Surface 3?
